  • From your Ricoh IM C3000 printer’s home screen, select the Settings option.
  • Choose System Settings > Settings for Administrator > Switch Screen Type.
  • Now, if your printer screen is set as Standard, then you can change it to Classic on the Screen Type screen.
  • Tap Classic > OK. Similarly, if your printer screen is already set in Classic, then tap on the Standard option to change it.

For The Standard Screen Type

Step 1: Configure the initial settings to send emails

  • From your Ricoh IM C3000 printer’s home screen, select the Settings option.
  • Tap on the System Settings option followed by Send (Email/Folder).
  • On the opened screen, select Email > SMTP Server.
  • Now, in the SMTP Server dialog box, configure your email account’s server settings, such as the server name, SSL, and port number.
  • After configuring the settings, press the Connection Test button available on the screen.
  • Now, your printer will try to connect to the server.
  • Once it is done, configure the SMTP and the incoming server settings by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Finally, press the Home button.

Step 2: Specify The Administrator’s Email Address As The Sender

  • On the Settings screen of your Ricoh printer, select the System Settings option.
  • Choose Send (Email/Folder) > Email > Administrator’s Email Address.
  • Now, in the given field, type the administrator’s email address correctly.
  • Tap OK > Auto Specify Sender Name > On > OK > Home.

Note: If you wish to use an email address other than the administrator one, then you can enter it manually while performing the scan to email operation.

Step 3: Registering Fixed Messages 

To use one specific message for all the emails you send, register the fixed message of your desire by following the instructions given below. 

  • On the System Settings screen of your printer, select Send (Email/Folder).
  • Choose Email > Register/Change/Delete Email Message.
  • Now, in the given field, type the item detail that you want to register correctly.
  • Tap Register/Change.
  • Perform the on-screen instructions to complete the registration.

For The Classic Screen Type

Step 1: Configure the initial settings to send emails

  • On your Ricoh printer’s Settings screen, select the Machine Features Settings option.
  • Tap System Settings > File Transfer > SMTP Server.
  • Configure the server settings correctly.
  • Tap Connection Test > Confirm.
  • If prompted, configure the SMTP Authentication settings by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Finally, tap on the Home button.

Step 2: Specify The Administrator’s Email Address As The Sender

  • Select the Machine Feature Settings option on the Settings screen of your Ricoh printer.
  • Tap System Settings > File Transfer > Administrator’s Email address.
  • In the given field, type the administrator’s email address.
  • Tap OK > Auto Specify Sender Name > On > Settings > Home.

Step 3: Registering Fixed Messages

  • From your printer’s home screen, tap Settings > Machine Features Settings > System Settings > File Transfer > Program/Change/Delete Email message > Program/Change > Not programmed.
  • In the prompted field, type the email address. 
  • Tap OK > Home. 

Step 4: Registering The Email Address Of Your Desire 

  • From your printer’s home screen, locate and tap on the Address Book option.
  • Select Register and type the asked information in the given fields. 
  • Configure the email address and use the conditions as per your desire.
  • Finally, tap on the OK button.

Step 5: Scanning And Sending The Scanned Email

  • On your Ricoh IM C3000 printer’s scanner glass, load the original that you want to scan.
  • Now, from your printer’s home screen, select the Scanner option.
  • Tap Scan to Email > Send Settings > Sender.
  • Choose the desired sender address from the Address Book or enter it manually in the given field. 
  • Configure the other scan settings as per your desire, and finally, tap on the Start button to begin the scan to email operation.
  • Now, your Ricoh printer will start to scan the placed document, and once it is done, a copy of it will be emailed to the entered email address.
