Scan to E-Mail server

1.Set Up The Scan To Email Server Feature

Step 1

Make sure to connect your Brother printer to a network.

Step 2

  • On your printer, print a network configuration report.
  • Find your printer’s IP address on the printed page.

Step 3

  • Launch Internet Explorer or any other browser on your computer.
  • Type the printer’s IP address in the address bar.

Step 4

  • Click the Network tab followed by the Protocol tab.
  • Select the POP3/IMAP checkbox.

Step 5

  • Fill all the required fields with the valid details and then click the Submit button.
  • This will scan from the printer’s control panel to an email.

2.Scan To E-mail Server From Printer’s Control Panel

Step 1

On the scanner glass, place the document for scanning.

Step 2

On the printer’s control panel, press the Scan button and select the Scan to E-mail option.

Step 3

  • If your printer supports duplex scan, select the 1sided, 2sided (L)edge, or 2sided (S)edge option.
  • If your printer does not support duplex scan, change the scan settings by selecting the Change setting option.

Step 4

  • Set the resolution and file type.
  • Press the OK button to continue.

Step 5

  • Make sure to type the correct email address.
  • Once you press Start, the printer begins to scan the document.

Scan To E-Mail Attachment

Step 1

Connect your Brother printer and your computer to the same wireless network.

Step 2

Place the document with its printed side facing down on the scanner glass.

Step 3

  • Choose the Scan to PC option followed by the E-mail option.
  • Press the OK button.
  • Select your computer and press the OK button.

Step 4

Use the arrow button to select the Start Scan option.

Step 5

  • Press the OK button followed by the Start button.
