Set IPv6 to automatic on Mac

Step 1

Click the Apple logo on the home screen of your Mac computer.

Step 2

Select System Preferences and click Advanced.

Step 3

  • Navigate to the TCP/IP tab.
  • Set IPv6 to Automatic.
  • To save the altered settings, click the OK option and click Apply.

Step 4

  • Close the System Preferences window and check if the error resolves.
  • If it persists, you have to disable IPv6 on the HP printer as given in the following steps.

Disable IPv6 on the HP printer

Step 1

Access the HP printer's web page.

Step 2

Navigate to Networking -> TCP/IP.
